Complex Individuality

With all the outside influences that affect our personality from the moment that we have a consciousness, let alone a sense of self, it can be difficult to know what we really want, and even harder to know what it is that we actually need. There are often times when our behavior collide socialized with our natural instincts. Of course that does not mean that we each pulse resulting from socialization to ignore, and just about anything under natural instincts. Socialization is the process as a mode of interaction with other aid. It is a necessary social tool, hence the name. However, socialization more often than not works by placing a person within certain categories and then teaches them that the people in these categories in a certain way, even if people in other categories are expected to act differently. In other words, as a result of socialization, people rarely identify themselves as [person / / individual], but are more likely to identify themselves much more complex, for example: [person / / age / / nationality / / sex / / Education / / etc. / / individual].
Such a complex method of self-identification naturally leads to complications in self-expression. Because people do not think of themselves only as an individual or as part of a unified group, they are often confused about who they are, what they want and need in life, and what actions, from all options, it is actually OK for them to do.
Of course, while it is almost impossible for a person to completely reject all classifications and identifies only as individuals, almost all of us pick and choose, and occasionally to adjust and change the categories we use to keep our own identity create and change the behavior to guide we work with others.
Mr. Weirdo has an identity as complex as can be expected for a person in their mid-twenties. In fact, it is even more complex - studying abroad has broadened his horizons a bit more than if he had remained immersed in his native culture throughout his life. Indeed, it was through study abroad, he was exposed to a society where hugs were completely acceptable, and he now thinks hugs are awesome. But, although he admires this behavior he has discovered within an identity group, and want to integrate it into his own behavior, categories that were rooted in his own identity to limit his success in the integration of this new feature wholeheartedly .
The two main categories which Mr. Weirdo cause problems when trying to adapt to this new behavior: [Japanese / / M]. Now, Mr. Weirdo not try to deny these categories of identity. He just wants to take a new piece, and it is difficult to fit the new piece to make, while the existing pieces intact. But while he was socialized to feel that the Japanese are not familiar with casual physical contact, and that masculinity means to prevent expressions of emotion and "touchy-feely stuff", it would be impossible to hug-culture fully into its identity. So Mr. Weirdo is forced to compromise. He limits his new toy behavior in situations where he feels that it might be acceptable enough to get away with it - just cuddle with people who already belong to cuddle culture, and avoiding the touchy-feely emotional things through clearly for themselves - though perhaps not as clear
